Dr. Sheng Zhou received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2005 and 2011, respectively. From January to June 2010, he was a visiting student at the Wireless System Lab, Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, CA, USA. From November 2014 to January 2015, he was a Visiting Researcher in Central Research Lab of Hitachi Ltd., Japan. He joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University in 2011, first as a postdoctoral scholar, then as an Assistant Professor in 2013, and became a tenured Associate Professor in 2019. His current research interests include mobile edge intelligence, vehicular networks, and green wireless communications.
He received the 2024 IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Asia-Pacific Board Outstanding Paper Award, the 2020 IEEE ComSoc Wireless Technical Committee Outstanding Young Researcher Award, and the 2017 IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Board Outstanding Young Researcher Award. He is co-recipient of the China Institute of Communications Science and Technology award (First class in 2019 and Second class in 2024). He is a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award of IEEE/CIC China Communications in 2023 and Journal of Communications and Information Networks in 2019. For conferences, he is a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award from the IEEE/CIC Int’l Conf. Commun. China (ICCC'20), Asia-Pacific Conf. Commun. (APCC) in 2013, the 2013 IEEE Int’l Conf. Wireless Commun. Signal Processing (WCSP'13), the 25th Int’l Tele-Traffic Congress (ITC'13), and etc.
He served or is serving as an editor for IEEE Trans. Wireless Commun., IEEE Wireless Commun. Letters, and Journal of Commun. and Information Networks. He served as a Guest Editor for feature topics of IEEE Internet of Things Journal (in 2020) and IEEE/CIC China Communications (in 2020 and 2013). He is serving as the Track/Symposium Co-Chair of IEEE Global Commun. Conf. (Globecom'18) and IEEE/CIC Int’l Conf. Commun. China (ICCC'18). He served as the Track/Symposium Co-Chair of many leading conferences of IEEE ComSoc.
